چکیده

A crucial question in the design of ecient logistics systems is the identi®cation of locations for distribution centers (DCs). However, the optimization of these location decisions requires careful attention to the inherent trade-o€s among facility costs, inventory costs, transportation costs, and customer responsiveness. This paper presents a modeling approach that provides such an integrated view, and illustrates how it works in the context of a speci®c example involving the distribution of ®nished vehicles by an automotive manufacturer. Incorporating location, routing, and inventory decisions in a bi-objective supply chain design problem with risk-pooling

This paper considers a single-sourcing network design problem for a three-level supply chain. For the first time, a novel mathematical model is presented considering risk-pooling, the inventory existence at distribution centers (DCs) under demand uncertainty, the existence of several alternatives to transport the product between facilities, and routing of vehicles from distribution centers to c...

A Benders' Decomposition Method to Solve Stochastic Distribution Network Design Problem with Two Echelons and Inter-Depot Transportation

In many practical distribution networks, managers face significant uncertainties in demand, local price of building facilities, transportation cost, and macro and microeconomic parameters. This paper addresses design of distribution networks in a supply chain system which optimizes the performance of distribution networks subject to required service level. This service level, which is consider...

Designing a green location routing inventory problem considering transportation risks and time window: a case study

This study introduces a green location, routing and inventory problem with customer satisfaction, backup distribution centers and risk of routes in the form of a non-linear mixed integer programming model. In this regard, time window is considered to increase the customer satisfaction of the model and transportation risks is taken into account for the reliability of the system. In addition, dif...

Closed-loop Supply Chain Inventory-location Problem with Spare Parts in a Multi-Modal Repair Condition

In this paper, a closed-loop location-inventory problem for spare parts is presented. The proposed supply chain network includes two echelons, namely (1) distribution centers (DCs) and repairing centers (RCs) and (2) operational bases. Multiple spare parts are distributed among operational bases from distribution centers in the forward supply chain and failed spare parts from operational bases ...

A green transportation location-inventory-routing problem by dynamic regional pricing

Non-uniform distribution of customers in a region and variation of their maximum willingness to pay at distinct areas make regional pricing a practical method to maximize the profit of the distribution system. By subtracting the classic objective function, which minimizes operational costs from revenue function, profit maximization is aimed. A distribution network is designed by determining the...
